Again in 2004, he was awarded the fields’ best research manuscript for his work with pelvic ligament biomechanics. Dr. Vardy is a recognized expert in female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, menopausal medicine, chronic pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction. He has become the region’s leading expert in the use of synthetic mesh in pelvic surgery. He has been the Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Urogynecology at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, Englewood, NJ, since 2002. In 2005, he joined Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was appointed Fellowship Director to train other physicians in the subspecialty of Urogynecology. In 2006 he became Division Director at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
